The Education Abroad Program is UC Santa Barbara’s gateway to the world, providing opportunities for students to study in over 40 countries across the globe. Studying abroad brings with it more than an augmentation of classroom knowledge. It encompasses valuable experiences of difference and exploring assumptions about the self and others in new settings. The outcome is a transformation that shapes their lives for years to come.
UC Santa Barbara continues to be a program leader for the University of California system, having sent over 900 students this year with well over 1,000 expected in 2023-2024.
But, we can’t do it without support from EAP alumni, friends, and parents like you. Your gifts are extremely important to our program's success and the resources we can make available to our students. Students apply to study abroad each year and then withdraw due to financial need.
