KITP

Exploring New Frontiers

The Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics (KITP) at UC Santa Barbara is the foremost scientific research facility for theorists in physics and allied fields to explore new ideas and to work together intensely on questions at the leading edges of science.

Since its origin in 1979, KITP’s driving force has been the exploration and promotion of new areas of scientific study in physics. Of particular importance is the research and career development of our graduate fellows and postdoctoral scholars, who represent the future of their fields. Continuing a tradition of four decades of excellence, KITP is pioneering new avenues to empower, develop, and launch this next generation of scientists.

Your support on Give Day will help our scholars explore new frontiers!
