Undergraduate Learning Assistants
UCSB’s newest program focused on student success, Undergraduate Learning Assistants (ULAs). Our ULA program builds on the successes of informal Gaucho-to-Gaucho support by integrating upper class scholars into large and important intro classes to work hand-in-hand with faculty to meet the needs of our current undergraduates.
UCSB Affiliates
The UCSB Affiliates Scholarship & Fellowship Fund supports both the Affiliates Transfer Student Scholarships and Graduate Fellowships that provide financial support for deserving undergraduate and graduate students who are deeply committed to their higher education.
History Associates
The History Associates Graduate Fellowship provides critical support for graduate students at any stage in their graduate careers. The History Associates, with advice from the History Department, make awards each year to support the next generation of history scholars with their travel and research.
Pre-College Programs
The Research Mentorship Program (RMP) and Summer Research Academies (SRA) provide high-achieving high school students with an elite introduction to university-level research. By engaging in hands-on projects across STEM, the Humanities, and Social Sciences, these students gain a transformative head start on their academic careers.
Scholarships are the bridge to this opportunity. Your generosity on UCSB Give Day ensures that these competitive programs remain accessible to all talented students, regardless of their financial background. Join us in investing in the next generation of thinkers, researchers, and leaders.
Center for Science and Engineering Partnership
CSEP, a one-stop shop for UC Santa Barbara scientists and engineers, designs and evaluates training programs for UCSB students and researchers.
Professional Women's Association
The Barbara S. Uehling Fund, the first female Chancellor of UC Santa Barbara, was established to honor her efforts in advocating for the advancement of women and others from underrepresented backgrounds in higher education. Gifts to this fund support non-traditional students with financial need on their path to achieving their academic and career goals.
HSI Initiatives
HSI Initiatives advances UCSB’s mission as a Hispanic-Serving Institution, or HSI, by driving campus-wide efforts that expand opportunity, equity, and student success. Your support sustains innovative programs that serve first-generation and income-eligible undergraduate and graduate students – strengthening pathways into research, leadership, and community impact.
Your gift not only changes students’ lives – it drives a more inclusive, equitable university by advancing culturally relevant pedagogy, expanding professional development and community-building opportunities for faculty and staff, and strengthening a culture where all can thrive. Together, we are building a stronger, more serving UCSB.
